Planning approved for the creation of a habitable annexe.
The house is an end of terrace with a vehicular access on the right side (South) of the property.
The proposal seeks the demolition of the existing shed and the construction of a new habitable unit composed of a kitchen area, a bathroom and a bedroom for a total of 26 sqm GIA. The new proposal is seeking at improving the green and hard landscape at the back of the main property. The existing pavement around the shed is made partially in pavers and partially in gravel.
The design started following a consultation to understand the clients’ (Student’ Union) and students’ requirements: a space they could call home, to support students' collaborations, realise their ambitions and their vision of creating success together.
The site of this proposed single storey building is in a primarily residential area in Revesby Avenue, the postal address of which is 41 Revesby Avenue, Boston, Lincolnshire, PE21 8ES.
The property orientation is West-East as per referenced image.
Proposed design:
The proposed design for the new building is to create a red brick building, same brick colour as in the main property with a roof in grey concrete tiles.
The entrance door is situated on the South elevation and it is composed by a solid door and a side glazed panel. A new path in slate paving slabs is created between the existing fence and the new building as access to the entrance door. The new building is located 1m away from the existing fence.
The west elevation, facing the main property, presents a 3 panes large door windows with an architrave in vertical bricks. A black gutter with black rain water pipes is running along the South and North elevations. The roof eaves height is 2.5m high and the roof ridge is 3m high.
